The central government may soon introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill in the House. Before this, NDA’s ally JDU has given three suggestions to the government. Party sources say that they have got assurance from the government that when this bill comes up for discussion, their suggestions will be included. Let us know what three suggestions Nitish Kumar-led JDU has given to the government.

JDU has told the government that since land is a state matter, the same priority should be maintained in the new law. JDU’s second suggestion is that the new law will not be implemented retrospectively, provided the Waqf property is registered. This means that the Waqf properties which are registered will not be affected, but any disputed or government property, which is not registered, its future will be decided according to the standards set in the Waqf Bill.

Nitish’s party’s third suggestion

Also, if any Waqf property is on government land, then its decision will also be according to the bill. The third and last suggestion of Nitish’s party is that if a Waqf property is not registered but if any religious building like mosque, dargah etc. is built on it, then it should not be demolished. Its status should be maintained.

On the other hand, Congress leader Tariq Anwar said on Monday that he hopes that Nitish Kumar will take a stand against the Waqf Bill when it is introduced in Parliament. It is good that Nitish has continued the tradition which he has been following for a long time. We want him to give the message that he is not pretending.

Nitish should not follow the path of BJP

Tariq Anwar said, the Chief Minister of Bihar should not follow the path of Bharatiya Janata Party on matters related to Muslims. We believe that Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu will not support the Waqf Bill. There is still hope that Nitish Kumar, who maintains his secular image, will take a clear stand when the bill is brought in Parliament by the Central Government.

What did JPC Chairman Jagdambika Pal say?

At the same time, BJP MP and chairman of JPC on Waqf (Amendment) Bill, Jagdambika Pal said that while many Muslim religious leaders are supporting this bill, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board is objecting to it. On the day of Alvida ki Namaaz, he asked people to wear black bands in protest against this bill… but why?

Jagdambika Pal said, the amended law has not yet come to the House. Today Muslims are thanking Prime Minister Modi for Saugat-e-Modi. We are talking about Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Congress Party, Asaduddin Owaisi and AIMPLB are looking at Muslims as a vote bank, they are appeasing them.
