The incident of Jaffar Express train hijack in Balochistan is no different. It is worth noting that after the train hijack incident, Pakistan is seen to be strict against terrorism and operations are also being carried out against terrorists.
Action taken against terrorists
A similar case has come to light from North Waziristan district of the troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Pakistani security forces have killed eight terrorists trying to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. During this, four terrorists have also been injured. The army’s media affairs wing (ISPR) has given information about this.
What did the Pakistani army say?
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that security forces in Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan saw a group of Khawarij trying to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Eight terrorists were killed and four others were injured after the encounter. The term ‘Khawarij’ is used for the banned TTP.
What is Pakistan saying to the Afghan government
The Inter-Services Public Relations said, “Pakistan has been constantly asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on its part of the border.” The ISPR said that “Pakistan’s security forces are committed to securing its borders and eliminating the threat of terrorism from the country.”
16 terrorists were killed
Earlier in late March, similar attempts were made which were foiled by Pakistani security forces, killing 16 terrorists. A few days later, 11 terrorists were killed in four separate encounters with security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
