Uttarakhand: Terrible fire in Bhawali of Nainital, many shops burnt to ashes, police evacuated houses, stopped traffic

Late night, a shop in Bhawali market caught fire under suspicious circumstances. After this, the fire spread rapidly and engulfed about four shops. Due to which the goods kept in the shop and the shop were completely burnt to ashes. This massive fire created chaos in the main market. When the local people and shopkeepers saw smoke and flames rising, they immediately informed the police and fire department.
Fire brigade vehicles from Bhawali Air Force Station and Bhimtal reached the spot within a short time. Due to the wooden shop and strong gusts of wind, the fire quickly took a terrible form. In a few minutes the fire spread upwards and to other nearby shops. Before the fire brigade personnel arrived, the local people also started efforts to extinguish the fire. But could not control the fire. Many people risked their lives and took out gas cylinders, clothes and other goods from the shops. So that a major explosion could be avoided.
Nainital and Haldwani called for fire brigade vehicles
Seeing the increasing fire situation, fire brigade vehicles were also dispatched from Nainital and Haldwani. The fire brigade personnel present at the spot had to work hard to extinguish the fire. As a precaution, the police also evacuated the houses around the shops. So that loss of life can be prevented in case of fire spreading. Also, as a precaution, the police stopped the traffic on the Bhawali-Bhimtal road and appealed to the people to stay away from the spot.
Administration gathered on the spot
The local administration and police officials also reached the spot and took stock of the situation and monitored the relief and rescue operations. According to the local people, there were many old and traditional shops in the market, including clothes, puja materials, general stores and fast food shops. All the shops were burnt to ashes due to the fire. There is no report of any casualty so far. But many shops have been completely burnt to ashes. Houses were also built above some shops. In the initial investigation, the possibility of a short circuit is being suspected.
