Letter related to date of Uttarakhand Panchayat elections goes viral, commission tells the truth

Panchayat elections are in full swing in Uttarakhand. It is expected that panchayat elections can be held in the remaining 12 districts except Haridwar district by July 31. The Uttarakhand government has also intensified preparations in this direction. While on one hand the state government has extended the tenure of the commissioners posted in the Panchayat till July 31, on the other hand, it has issued a notification regarding checking the reservation. Meanwhile, on Friday, June 13, letters related to the dates of panchayat elections started going viral on social media.

According to the letter going viral on social media, the notification related to the panchayat elections will be issued by the government on June 23. Also, there is a mention of issuing a notification by the State Election Commission on June 25 and by the District Election Officer on June 26.

After this letter went viral, there was a stir in the State Election Commission and Panchayati Raj Department. At present, the process of reservation of panchayat is going on. As per the reservation program issued by the Panchayati Raj Department, the provisional list of reservation has been released today i.e. on 13 June.

After this, objections will be taken on the reservation proposal. It will be disposed of. After this, the final list of reservation will be released on 18 June. After this, on 19 June, the reservation proposal will be sent to the Panchayati Raj Directorate and the State Election Commission. Even before that, the letter going viral on social media has increased the stir in the state. Talking to ETV Bharat, the Panchayati Raj Secretary said that the letter going viral on social media is completely fake. No program has been decided by the Panchayati Raj Department yet. Not only this, the State Election Commission has issued a letter and termed the viral letter as fake.
