Ahmedabad plane crash happened due to RAT! Former US Navy pilot revealed

Air India’s Boeing-787 plane crashed just minutes after takeoff on Thursday (June 12, 2025) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The central government has constituted a panel to investigate this, which will submit its report within 3 months. At the same time, former US Navy pilot and well-known navigation expert Captain Steve Scheibner, while analyzing the video of the plane crash, has talked about RAT (ram air turbine) activation in it.

He has given 3 possible reasons for the plane crash. First electrical failure, second both engines failed or third hydraulic failure. Steve has also taken the support of the statement of Vishwas, the only survivor of this accident.

First possibility is the simultaneous failure of both engines
Captain Steve has told the first possibility that both engines failed simultaneously, which means this accident may have happened due to lift loss i.e. not getting enough air from the wings of the plane. According to Steve, there was not enough power in the plane to keep it lifted upwards. If this has happened, the plane must have collided with a large flock of birds, due to which both engines would have been damaged.

The pilots must have forgotten to put the flaps!

The second reason could be that some special technical settings are required before the plane takes off, the main one being to lower the flaps. Flaps are those parts of the plane’s wings that increase lift during take off. According to Captain Steve, if the pilots have forgotten to put the flaps, the plane will not be able to stay in the air.

He further said that the chances of this happening are also less because in a modern plane like 787, if the flaps are not set, then loud alarms start ringing in the cockpit and a warning also comes on the screen.

Pulling the wrong lever is also a reason

The third possibility could be that the pilot pulled the wrong lever by mistake. According to Steve, as soon as the plane takes off, the co-pilot says that the plane has taken off in the air. After this the pilot says gear up. It is possible that the co-pilot may have accidentally pulled the handle with the flaps instead of the gear. This means that the parts of the plane that help it stay in the air may have been removed. Ultimately, experts seem to reach the conclusion that this accident must have happened due to failure of both engines. However, the investigation of this case is still going on in India.
