Bihar government’s big decision, Chief Minister Artist Pension Scheme and CM Guru-Shishya Tradition Scheme got approval from the cabinet

In Bihar, the Chief Minister Artist Pension Scheme and the Chief Minister Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme have been approved by the Cabinet today. This decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting held today i.e. on Tuesday. Artists associated with traditional, classical, visual and performing arts residing in rural and urban areas of the state will be given a monthly pension of Rs 3000. For this, the department will start the selection process and the applications received at the district level will be reviewed by the district committee, after which it will be sent to the state level departmental committee.

Another scheme “Mukhyamantri Guru Shishya Parampara Yojana” has also been approved by the Cabinet. Under this, a provision of monthly honorarium of Rs 15000, Rs 7500 and Rs 3000 has been made for the Guru, musician and disciples respectively for teaching folk tales, folk drama, folk dance, folk music, folk instruments, classical art and painting which are almost extinct. This step of the government will save all the folk arts that are getting extinct.

Approval of an amount of more than Rs 800 crore for the overall development of Punauradham Janaki temple

In the cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, an amount of more than Rs 882 crore was approved for the overall development of Punauradham Janaki temple, a Hindu pilgrimage site located in Sitamarhi district. In this regard, the CM of the state also made a post on the social media platform X.

In the post, the CM has written, “I am very happy to inform that the plan to build a grand temple and other structures for the overall development of Punauradham, Sitamarhi, the birthplace of Jagat Janani Maa Janaki, has been approved by the cabinet today. Today, an approval of Rs 882 crore 87 lakh has been given in the cabinet for the comprehensive plan prepared for the overall development of Punauradham.”
