Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Work brings respect- ATS Residents Welfare Association honoured Doon Mayor Saurabh, Mayor assured to resolve complaints on priority basis

Dehradun’s ATS Residents Welfare Association organized a welcome program for Municipal Corporation Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal. The purpose of the program was to welcome the mayor and put forth the problems related to the society before him. The newly elected executive members attended the program and sought the mayor’s cooperation regarding the cleanliness of the colony, street lights and the condition of the public park. The members said that a public park located in front of the colony is being encroached upon by land mafias. Last year, the society itself had made efforts to clean the park, but the encroachers did not allow JCB machines to enter. The executive requested the mayor that the Municipal Corporation should take this park under its control again and ensure its cleanliness and develop it for the use of local residents – especially children and the elderly. On this occasion, Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal also planted a Rudraksh sapling and assured to take the suggestions raised by the committee seriously. He said that whatever work comes under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation, it will be done on priority.
