Corporate groups will adopt about 550 government schools of the state and make them resource-rich. For this, the state government has prepared the entire outline by talking to various industry groups of Uttarakhand. More than 550 industrialists of the state have been invited to a program to be held at Uttarakhand Raj Bhavan on July 30. Where in the presence of Governor and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, MoUs will be signed between corporate groups and the Education Department for adopting primary and secondary schools of the state.

Industrialists will adopt 550 government schools of Uttarakhand

In a statement issued to the media, the state’s School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government is going to start a new initiative in collaboration with the industry to modernize education and provide better educational environment. Under which about 550 government primary and secondary schools of the state are being linked to the corporate group.

Most of the schools will be from the hilly region

Most of these schools have been included from the hilly region, so that these schools located amidst difficult geographical conditions can be equipped with infrastructure facilities from CSR funds as well as model class rooms, computer labs, science labs, libraries, furniture, toilets, sports equipment, playgrounds and boundary wall facilities.

The government invited the industrialists of the state

The state government has contacted about 550 industrialists of the state and has reached an in-principle agreement in this regard. In the sequence of which, a program is being organized with industry groups on July 30 at the Uttarakhand Raj Bhavan under the chairmanship of Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmeet Singh and in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In which industrialists from different areas of the state have been invited. The objective of the program is to give a new identity to the schools of the state with modern facilities through the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund of industry groups across the state.

Industry group will adopt one primary and one secondary school

Under this initiative of the government, every industry group will adopt one primary and one secondary school and provide all the basic and modern facilities in them. So that the primary and secondary level students studying in remote schools of hilly areas can be provided a better educational environment in accordance with today’s requirements and the objectives of the New Education Policy-2020. The Education Minister said that there are about 559 schools in the state in which various vocational courses are being conducted. After linking such schools with industry groups, vocational courses will be able to be conducted in a better manner as per the requirement of the industries.
