In Uttarakhand, officers are being accused of not following the protocol of people holding constitutional posts. The matter of negligence in the protocol of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla could not be forgotten yet that now the Speaker of the Assembly himself has expressed his displeasure by raising big questions. However, the answer given by the administration on the matter has brought a new twist in the protocol case of the Speaker of the Assembly.
The matter of the Speaker of the Assembly not following the protocol in the Independence Day program has now come to a new turn. Actually, a letter of Assembly Deputy Secretary Hemchandra Pant is becoming very viral. This letter has been written to Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, in which it has been said about not giving place on the stage as per the protocol of Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri in the Independence Day program.
Assembly Speaker’s Office expressed displeasure: In this letter, it has been made clear that the Speaker of the Assembly is a constitutional post and accordingly, in the Independence Day program, a proper place was not fixed for the Speaker to sit in terms of dignity and that is why Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri has expressed displeasure over this. Also, it is not appropriate to attend this program in such a situation. This letter was written on 15 August itself and it was told that this is why the Speaker of the Assembly did not attend the program.
Information was already given: A new turn came in this matter when the district administration clarified that the staff of the Speaker of the Assembly had already confirmed that Speaker Ritu Khanduri would not attend the main program. On August 13 and August 14 also, the staff of the Speaker of the Assembly had clarified about her program. In which it was told that a program has been organized in the Assembly on the occasion of Independence Day. That is why she cannot be present in the program at the Parade Ground on Independence Day.
Response yet to come from the Speaker’s office of the Assembly: Now the question is that when it was already confirmed that the Speaker of the Assembly would not attend the program, then where did the talk of lapse in protocol come from? On the other hand, now after issuing this letter in writing at the administration level, the ball has once again reached the Speaker’s office in the matter. The answer to which is yet to come.
