The ban on strike will continue in the energy corporations of Uttarakhand. Actually, the government has decided to keep the ESMA in force for the next 6 months. This order will be applicable to all the employees of all the three energy corporations. The special thing is that as soon as the order was issued, the employee organization has also started its protest against it.

Now the employees of the energy corporation will not be able to go on strike for the next 6 months in the state. However, the ban on the strike of employees was in force even before this. But as soon as the time limit of the order made earlier for 6 months expired, it has been extended once again for the next 6 months. In this regard, the Principal Secretary Energy has issued an order, after which all the employee organizations have also been informed about it by issuing a letter.

By the way, at present no strike warning or any upcoming program of strike was issued by any employee organization in the Energy Corporation. Despite this, the Energy Corporation has been continuously issuing orders related to the ban on the strike of employees. Employees associated with the Energy Corporation have also been protesting against it from time to time.

Vinod Kavi, an official of the Contract Employees Organization, says that this attitude of the government is provoking the employees. Employees are forced to take strict steps regarding their demands, in such a situation, if such orders are always issued regarding the employees, then the employees have no other way to get their demands fulfilled.

After the imposition of ESMA to stop the strike of employees in the Energy Corporation, the employees will not be able to go on strike under any circumstances. The special thing is that this will be applicable to the employees of all three corporations, Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited, Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited and Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited. Uttar Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) has been implemented for the next 6 months from 26 August.

By the way, this is not the first time in the state, when the right of protest of employees has been banned in this way. Such decisions have been taken before as well. But there are many such challenges in front of the government regarding energy, due to which the government cannot bear the strike of the employees of the Energy Corporation in the state under any circumstances. The reason behind this is that there is already an energy crisis in the state and electricity is purchased from the open market for crores. In such a situation, if there is any kind of disruption in this essential service, then not only will it affect the production of energy, but the electricity service will also be affected.
