Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami issued strict instructions to officials to expedite the coverage of all MNREGA workers under the Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board. He stated that this work should be done on a priority basis, and any laxity or delay would not be acceptable.

The Chief Minister issued clear instructions to register at least 500,000 to 600,000 workers under the Board within the next three months. He stated that schemes for the welfare of laborers will only be effective if maximum workers directly benefit from them.

Chief Minister Dhami stated that it is the responsibility of the Labor Department and Board officials to reach out to every worker and provide them with complete information about government-run welfare schemes and facilities. He stated that often, due to lack of information, eligible workers are deprived of the benefits of the schemes, which is unacceptable under any circumstances.

The Chief Minister clarified to officials that there should be no negligence or laxity in any scheme related to the welfare of workers. All officials should ensure that information about the schemes is disseminated to the Panchayat level and that the worker registration process is carried out as a campaign.

He said that the state government is committed to the social and economic upliftment of the working class. The hard work and dedication of workers is the true foundation of the state’s progress, and as such, it is the government’s responsibility to provide them with every possible security, facilities, and respect.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “The state’s development is based on the hard work of our working brothers and sisters. No effort will be spared for their welfare. Bringing all MNREGA workers under the Welfare Board is not only our goal, it is the government’s responsibility.”
