Remembering Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man who embodied the spirit of “One India, Best India,” the Chief Minister said that Patel dedicated every moment of his life to the unity, integrity, and building of a strong nation. This awareness program is being organized to commemorate his birthday. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only pledged for a corruption-free India but also worked to implement it. Under his leadership, a new work culture has developed in the country. Governance and administration have been made people-centric to make them transparent and accountable.
CM Dhami stated that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state government is working with a determined zero-tolerance policy against corruption. Since the state’s formation, the Vigilance Department has taken prompt action and arrested 339 corrupt officials and employees red-handed. In the last three years, the Vigilance Department has arrested and jailed 78 corrupt officials, as well as more than 27 others in other cases.
The CM stated that the toll-free number 1064 is being operated to curb corruption in the state and ensure transparent and accountable governance. Over the past three years, nearly ten thousand complaints have been registered through this number. Trap proceedings have been initiated in 62 complaints and open investigations in four. He stated that corruption will not be tolerated in the state under any circumstances. The Chief Minister urged all departments to widely publicize this campaign.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the vigilance awareness campaign has been launched with the theme “Vigilance is our shared responsibility.” It requires all departments, their secretaries and principal secretaries, to ensure that corruption is prevented at any cost. Transparency in work is essential. No compromises should be made on corruption anywhere. Furthermore, there should be no delays in work.
