Uttarakhand: The Ghansali health movement has been suspended after 51 days, following an assurance from the Chief Minister.

The protest by the Ghansali Health Public Struggle Front, which was being held at the primary health center in Pilkhi, Bhilangana block, Tehri, to highlight the deplorable state of health facilities and demand a sub-district hospital in Ghansali, has been suspended until February 28th after 51 days.
Ghansali Health Movement Suspended After 51 Days
The protesters took this decision after a delegation met with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and received assurances. Regional MLA Shakti Lal Shah, Block Head Rajiv Kandari, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nautiyal visited the protest site and held discussions with the protesters. The protesters stated that the construction of the building, along with the deployment of doctors and technical staff, is essential for the public to benefit.

The main demands of the movement included a sub-district hospital in Ghansali, experienced doctors, ultrasound and X-ray technicians in Pilkhi and Beleshwar, a 24-hour blood bank, and compensation and government jobs for the families of the deceased.
Protest Suspended After CMO’s Assurance
CMO Dr. Shyam Vijay assured that action would be taken on the demands on a priority basis, while MLA Shah said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami would perform the groundbreaking ceremony by January.
