Corona epidemic biggest challenge of the century: Modi
In the annual meeting of CSIR, Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed the Corona epidemic as the biggest challenge of the century. At the same time, expressing gratitude to the indigenous scientists during the Corona crisis, he said that India was made self-sufficient by making a corona kit in a year.
PM Modi has praised the scientists while addressing a program of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. He described Corona as the biggest challenge of the century and said that history is witness that whenever there is a crisis on humanity, science has prepared the way for a better future. PM Modi further said that it is the experience of the last century that when earlier any discovery was done in other countries of the world, then India had to wait for many years for it. But today the scientists of our country are walking shoulder to shoulder with other countries, working at the same speed. Our scientists prepared indigenous corona vaccine within a year. New drugs were discovered to deal with the disease of Corona. Attempts were made to increase the production of oxygen. The PM said that this institution of ours has given so many talents to the country, how many scientists have been given. A great scientist like Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar has given leadership to this institution. He said that today India is showing the way to the world in the field of sustainable development and clean energy. Today, from software to satellites, we are also accelerating the development of other countries, playing the role of a major engine in the development of the world.
Common people will also have to be associated with scientific research
There should be such a system that any person can know about your research and if they want, then they can also join. For this you have to keep pushing. This will also help your work and products. Friends, today the country is going to complete 75 years of independence. Keeping this in mind, we have to move forward with clear resolutions and a roadmap in a definite direction. This crisis of Corona may have slowed down the pace, but even today our resolve is a self-reliant and strong India.
