Switzerland will issue covid certificate

The Swiss Federal Council announced that certificates for COVID-19, both in electronic and paper form, will be issued from June 7 and that the complete system around the certificate will be ready by the end of this month. An ordinance creating the legal basis for COVID 19 certificates was approved on Friday, with the Swiss government announcing in a statement that they would be introduced gradually from next week.
The certificates will be issued to those persons who have got vaccinated, tested negative or have recovered from COVID 19.

The electronic certificate will include a storage app, a checking app used to scan the QR code on the COVID certificate as well as on both electronic and paper certificates.
The Swiss government assured that the QR code would be forgery proof and would be installed with the Confederation’s electronic signature to ensure a high level of data security.
Seven EU countries, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Croatia and Poland, began issuing EU digital COVID certificates on 1 June, a month before the plan’s scheduled launch on 1 July.
