The workers of Team Nasha Free Haridwar, meeting at Ramlila Bhawan Bhimgoda, expressed their anger towards the administration, expressing concern over the growing drug trade in the city and the ill effects of it. While addressing the meeting, ‘Yuva Mahant Omanand Maharaj and social worker Shashank Sharma’ said that in order to hollow out the youth, drugs are being served in Devbhoomi by anti-social elements. Society should come forward to do social boycott of such logos. ‘Team Nasha Mukt Haridwar’ has registered its protest many times on the growing business of drugs. The struggle will continue until the illegal business and traders of the nation are completely stopped. Former student leaders Sumit Tyagi and Yagnik Verma said that the government administration should take strict steps to save the young generation from the trap of drugs. Aditya Goud and Prashant Sharma told that an action plan has been prepared against illegal drug trade in the meeting. In which, in future, public awareness campaign will be run for the prevention of drug abuse and social evil of drug addiction and the boycott of anti-social elements serving intoxicants to the younger generation. In the meeting, Manoj Nishad, Mohit Joshi and youth Vinay Yadav, who represented Uttarakhand in the Delhi Youth Parliament, who was awarded the President’s Award, said that the youth who are becoming victims of drug addiction are wasting their lives. People’s representatives should put pressure on the government to stop the drug trade. If the business of drugs is not stopped, then in future its many ill effects will be seen in the society. The government should take strict action against drug dealers by showing sensitive attitude. Otherwise the youth will be forced to fast and agitation.
