West Indies women’s cricket team captain Stephanie Taylor has reclaimed the top spot not only in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings but also in all-rounders, thanks to her stellar performance in the ongoing ODI series against Pakistan. ICC has released the latest women’s rankings. According to an ICC release, the latest weekly update includes the performances of the first two ODIs of the West Indies-Pakistan series.
The 30-year-old Stefani made a splash with the bat and ball in the first match of the ongoing ODI series against Pakistan. He scored an unbeaten 105 runs with the bat and three wickets with the ball in the first ODI and gave a brilliant all-round performance to lead the team to a five-wicket victory. Her performance has helped Stephanie gain four places, leaving her behind Indian skipper Mithali Raj to reach number one. Apart from this, she has gained two places to top the all-rounder rankings, while she has jumped three places to 16th in the bowling rankings.
Stephanie, who has been at number one in all three formats (ODI, Test, T20) lists at different times in the past, first topped the batting rankings in March 2012 and last topped in November 2014 was. In the all-rounder ranking, she had last come first in July 2017.
