As a leader my idea is to keep everyone together and happy: Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan, who played the captaincy of India’s A cricket team on the Sri Lanka tour, has said that it is a big achievement for him that he has become the captain of the Indian team. As a leader his idea is to keep everyone together and happy, that’s the most important thing.
Expressing his views on being given the role of captain of the Indian team in Star Sports’ program ‘Follow the Blues’, Shikhar said, “We have a good group of boys, very good support staff and we have worked in the past. When I was the captain of India A, Rahul Dravid was the coach and I have been to the NCA (National Cricket Academy) many times, so it is a good bond. I want everyone to be together and be happy.
Indian skipper Shikhar said about his bond with coach Rahul Dravid, “I have a good relationship with Rahul bhai. I played against him when I started playing Ranji Trophy and I have known him since then. When I went to play the India A match, I was the captain and he was the coach, so the conversation took place. When he became the director of the NCA, we used to go there for about 20 days, so we used to talk a lot and now we have good chemistry and now that we have a chance to play six matches together it will be a lot of fun and I think we will all adjust well.
Talking about the significance of the tour of Sri Lanka for the young players, Dhawan said, “It is a pleasure to have youngsters in the team and see their dreams come true. It is a big deal that these youngsters have brought some dreams from their respective hometowns and their dreams are coming true and now they should enjoy the journey that landed them in Team India and they should know the value of their strength. and how to improve it. There are seniors in the team, so the youth will learn from them and on the contrary we will get to learn from the youngsters.
Whenever I meet young people I see that they often have new ways of thinking and I try to learn things that will help us.
