Uttarakhand : CM visited the disaster affected village areas of Uttarkashi

Instructions were given to carry out flood protection work on both sides of Gadera for the safety of the village by visiting Mandon village.

Instructions have also been given for the displacement of disaster-affected families and reconstruction of bridges and internal roads that were destroyed by excessive rain.

In addition to the permissible assistance of Rs.04 lakh, the dependent families of the deceased will also be given financial assistance of Rs.1 lakh from the CM’s discretionary fund.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took stock of the arrangements by visiting the disaster-affected Mando and Kankradi villages of Uttarkashi district on Wednesday. After reaching Mando village, the Chief Minister inquired about the damage caused by the disaster and inquired about the well being of the disaster affected. The Chief Minister, meeting the families of those who died in the disaster, consoled the bereaved families and extended their consolation. He assured all possible help to the disaster affected. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the DM to start the process of displacement of Mando village on the demand of the villagers. At the same time, after conducting a geo-scientific survey, instructions were given to take displacement action. The husband of the deceased Devanand Bhatt is a teacher in the Basic School in Sarp Jogat village, his mother Smt. Anpurna Devi demanded to transfer him to the nearest school of the district headquarters. The Chief Minister directed the DM to immediately transfer him to the district headquarters. After Mando village, the Chief Minister reached Kankaradi village. Where he met the relatives of the deceased Suman and consoled the bereaved family and assured all possible help. The Chief Minister also announced to give financial assistance of Rs. 01 lakh to the disaster victims from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund in addition to Rs. The Chief Minister also directed the District Magistrate for the displacement of the affected villages, early construction of damaged bridges and internal roads. During this, public representatives including Cabinet and District In-charge Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi, Secretary-in-Charge Chief Minister SN Pandey, District President BJP Ramesh Chauhan, Block Chief Shailendra Kohli, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, SP Manikant Mishra, CDO Gaurav Kumar were present.

Instructions given to all the District Magistrates for relief and rescue operations during the disaster

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami while interacting with the media after visiting the disaster affected areas of Uttarkashi district said that the state government is with the disaster victims. He said that instructions have been given to all the district magistrates for relief and rescue operations during the disaster in the state. Instructions were also given to the District Magistrates for speedy resolution of the problems of the general public. The Chief Minister said that the common man should not have to worry unnecessarily to solve their problems. Instructions have been given to the District Magistrates to ensure this. Clear instructions have been given to the district magistrates to ensure that the solution of public problems is done in the districts only. He said that if the problems of the districts are received at the government level, then the concerned officer will be considered responsible for it. He said that it is necessary for us to take prompt solution at the time of disaster, it is being reviewed continuously. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that due to Kovid-19 in the state, people working in various tourist activities and arrangements for Chardham Yatra and their business have been affected the most. At present, due to the closure of Chardham Yatra and other tourist places, hotel business, transport business, porter and other activities are almost at a standstill. Despite the adverse economic conditions, the state government will directly transfer money to the bank account of the persons working / doing business in such areas. Apart from this, exemption will also be given on license fee etc. for various business activities. This will benefit about 01 lakh 64 thousand beneficiaries / families. About 200 crores have been arranged for this. This package will help the people working in the tourism sector and the economy of the state will also get a boost. The Chief Minister said that under this relief and assistance, persons engaged in various activities of tourism business registered with the tourism department and other departments would be provided financial assistance at the rate of Rs.2000 per month for six months, under which 50,000 beneficiaries would be benefited. Under the Uttarakhand Tourism Travel Business Rules, financial assistance will be provided to the registered tour operators and adventure tour operators at the rate of Rs 10,000, which will benefit 655 beneficiaries. A total of 630 river guides will be provided financial assistance at the rate of Rs.10,000. A total of 93 boat operators registered under Tehri Lake will be provided financial assistance at the rate of Rs.10,000. Exemption from registration and license renewal fee will be provided in the tourism department, in which 600 beneficiaries will be benefited. A total of 301 registered rafting and aero sports service providers will be exempted from the license renewal fee. Under Tehri Lake, a total of 98 boat operators will be given exemption from renewal fee for the financial year 2021-22 in renewal. Under the Transport Department, a total of 06 months financial assistance will be provided to the driver / operator / cleaner of public service vehicles at the rate of Rs.2000 per month. With this 103235 beneficiaries will get the benefit of the scheme. Under the urban department, a total of 549 boat operators registered in Naini, Naukuchiatal, Bhimtal, Sattal and Sadiyatal under Nainital district will be provided financial assistance at the rate of Rs.10,000.00. Under the urban department, 671 beneficiaries will be given exemption in boat renewal fee under Naini Lake in Nainital district in the financial year 2021-22. Incentive amount of Rs.2000 per month for cultural parties will be given for 5 months. This will benefit 6500 beneficiaries. Rebate will be provided on tracking and peak fees under the Forest Department. A total of 329 beneficiaries will be given fee exemption for the financial year 2021-22 for boat renewal under Naukuchiatal, Bhimtal, Sattal and Sadiyatal under Nainital district. Interest reimbursement assistance will be provided for 06 months on loan for Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali and Deendayal Upadhyaya Homestay Scheme under Finance Department. The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Board Act has come into existence in the state after being notified in the Gazette of June 15, 2020. There seems to be doubt and uncertainty in the minds of some of the stakeholders of these holy shrines, despite the Act to protect the traditional, religious and economic rights of Rawals, Pandas, Pujaris, Haq-Haqdharis, local stakeholders. He said that the Chardham Yatra is economically most important for the state of Uttarakhand and the interest and development of all sections of the state is related to it. He believes that while giving a new dimension to this economic activity, any new system will have to be fulfilled with the aim of not letting the rights of the local businessmen and right-holders be adversely affected. Therefore, after effective consultation with all stakeholders, the state government is in favor of making positive changes/amendments. Therefore, a high-level committee is being constituted to assess the consequences on the stakeholders due to the system change brought about by this Act and to assess the legal consequences of system deviation. Based on the recommendation of the committee, advance decision will be taken regarding the arrangement of Chardham Devasthanam Board.

CM expressed condolences

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has condoled the death of senior litterateur and theater artist Shri Urmil Thapliyal. The Chief Minister has prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister has described the death of Shri Urmil Thapliyal as an irreparable loss to the society.
