Uttarakhand / Vikas Nagar : Electricity workers on indefinite strike from the night of 26th July

The strategy of the ongoing phased agitation for fourteen-point demands including implementation of ACP, equal pay for equal work and old pension, including old pension, was discussed in a joint meeting of the officers employees’ union of all the three corporations of Energy Corporation. It was announced in the meeting that if the demands are not met by July 26, the electricity workers will start an indefinite strike from the night of July 26. A meeting of officers, employees, subcontractors, self-help workers of all the three corporations of Energy Corporation was organized on Friday at Vidyut Bhawan Dakpathar. The meeting was presided over by GC Purohit and conducted by Sanjay Satsangi. In the meeting, the strategy was decided for the rally to be held at the UJVNL headquarters on July 26 before going on strike. After the rally, at 12 o’clock in the night of 26th July, all the officers employees called for showing solidarity for going on strike. In the meeting, State President of Energy Workers Organization Rakesh Sharma, Manoj Kumar, Saurabh Pandey, Bhanuprakash Joshi, Vineet Saini, Gopal Vihari, Pankaj Saini, Anil Chamoli, Sanjay Rana, Sushil Tamta, Rajesh Tiwari, Sharad Raghuvanshi, Sultan Singh, Naushad, Alam , Arun Kumar, Renu Tomar, Rinki Tomar, Pankaj Naithani, Manoj Rawal, Deep Singh etc expressed their views. In the meeting, all the speakers unitedly called for making the movement a success.
