Speaker lashed out at the opposition MPs for repeatedly disrupting the proceedings of the Lok Sabha, said – don’t compete for sloganeering

Parliament Monsoon Session: During the Monsoon Session of Parliament, in both the Houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, the uproar of opposition parties regarding the Pegasus issue continued, and the members also raised slogans. When the proceedings resumed in the Lok Sabha after the adjournment, the sloganeering did not stop. On this, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed displeasure and urged the MPs not to contest the sloganeering, and said that instead of telling the problems of the public, suggested for the competition.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said in a stern tone, “You don’t compete in slogan-shouting in the House, you people compete to tell the problems of the public…” Om Birla said in an unhappy tone, “You people are here sloganeering. are competing for, this public is watching… instead you compete to tell the public’s shortcomings and their problems, the public wants it…”

It is noteworthy that due to the uproar, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha had to be adjourned first on Tuesday at 11:45 am and then till 2 pm. Before adjourning the proceedings, Speaker Om Birla showed a tough stand towards those who created ruckus. He said that the government wants to answer, if you want answers then go to your place. The speaker said that you ask for an answer by shouting slogans and then you do not even listen to the answer, it is not proper. People have sent you to raise their issues and problems in the House, but instead of bringing to the fore the lack of public, you are raising slogans and creating ruckus. By ruckus and sloganeering, you are bringing down the dignity of the House. This behavior of the rioting members is not proper.
