Uttarakhand / Pauri : Symbolic display of hope outside DM office

Uttarakhand Asha Health Workers Union held a symbolic demonstration outside the DM office on Friday for the resolution of various demands including giving minimum wage, government employee status. During this, Ashas also raised slogans against the government. The ASHAs raised the demand to solve the problems soon by sending a memorandum to the CM through DM. Asha workers who reached Pauri from different blocks on Friday staged a symbolic protest outside the DM office. Convenor of the union, Bina Dhyani, while demonstrating, said that since long, 12-point demands including declaring ASHAs as government employees, giving a minimum honorarium of 21 thousand, giving monthly honorarium like other scheme workers like Anganwadi, pension on retirement. Demand is being raised to resolve the issue, but the government is not paying any attention to it. Due to which ASHAs are facing problems. He raised the demand to solve the problems soon by sending a memorandum to the CM through DM. The performers included Dila Devi, Pushpa Devi, Sangeeta, Basanti, Vijay, Rameshwari, Kamala Dhasmana, Meena Devi etc.
