Uttarakhand : CM Dhami started vocational education program in government secondary schools

Virtual dialogue with students, parents and teachers
Separate toilets will be arranged for girl students in schools
Announcement of increase in the amount of Shivanand Nautiyal Scholarship and Dev Suman State Meritorious Scholarship

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched vocational education program in 200 government secondary schools of the state. The Chief Minister also held virtual dialogue with the students, parents and teachers of various schools of the state. The Chief Minister said that separate toilets would be ensured for girl students in all the schools of the state. The Chief Minister announced to increase the amount of Shivanand Nautiyal Scholarship from Rs.250 to Rs.1500 as well as increase the number of its beneficiaries from 11 to 100. He also announced to increase the amount of Dev Suman State Meritorious Scholarship from Rs.150 to Rs.1000.

Admission fortnight from 1st to 14th September and Swagotsav for newly admitted children on 15th September
The Chief Minister also announced to celebrate admission fortnight from 1st to 14th September 2021 and Swagotsav for newly admitted children on 15th September 2021 in all government schools including Atal Utkrisht Vidyalayas.

8 Trade Starts in Vocational Education
While congratulating everyone, the Chief Minister said that 8 trades have been started in the vocational education program in secondary schools. This will lead to skill development of our children which will be helpful in their career. Skill development has also been emphasized in the new education policy started under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Access to quality education to common children
The Chief Minister said that the government is doing whatever is the best that can be done for the children. Efforts are made to make quality education accessible to common children. The importance of online education has increased in the Kovid period. The government will soon provide mobile tablets with pre-loaded content to the students of class 10th and 12th of government schools in the state. Virtual classes have been established in 500 schools while virtual classes are proposed in 600 more schools. NCERT books have been made compulsory in all schools. 189 Atal Schools of Excellence have been started in English medium with CBSE recognition.

Work hard with full dedication, you will get success
While doing a virtual dialogue, the Chief Minister said that according to your interest, choose a career and then work hard with all your heart. People who have risen from normal circumstances have touched the sky with their struggle. Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam traveled from Rameswaram to the presidency. The life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also exemplary for all of us. Nothing is impossible if you have hard work, determination and strong will. There should be a choiceless resolution. God also supports those who support themselves. It has also been said that victories are won by the mind, defeats are lost by the mind. Swami Vivekananda has said that the limits of man are infinite.

Education Minister Arvind Pandey said that since 2017 a lot of work has been done in school education in Uttarakhand. Subject wise teachers have been appointed. It has been decided to increase the salary of guest teachers from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. In line with the new education policy, emphasis is being laid on skill development. Uttarakhand has been ranked fourth in educational quality by NITI Aayog. Students, parents and teachers of different schools also spoke in the program.

On this occasion Secretary Radhika Jha, Director General Secondary Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Director Seema Jaunsari and other officers were present.
