Uttarakhand / Champawat : Organized awareness seminar on the topic of happiness from waste
On behalf of Lohaghat Krishi Vigyan Kendra, GGIC Khetikhan organized an awareness seminar on the topic ‘Waste to Happiness’. During this, people were told about modern agriculture by making manure from garbage. In the seminar organized under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, Krishi Vigyan Kendra in-charge Dr. MP Singh informed that about 7 thousand million tonnes of garbage and agricultural waste is collected in the country. He told that if vermicompost manure is made from this waste, then the cost of agriculture can be reduced by using chemicals. In which chemical free and nutrient rich agricultural produce can be obtained. During this, Gayatri Devi, Dr. Pooja Pandey etc. also gave information about vermi compost. On this occasion Dr. Dinesh Chandra Raturi, Dr. Sachin Pant, Aruna Pangaria, Laxmi Pangati, Suman Punetha, Kavita Mehta etc. were present.
