Significantly, 11 new cases of Omicron have been reported in Maharashtra. Of these, 8 cases have been found in Mumbai. After four passengers who reached Nagpur from Dubai were found corona infected, their samples are being sent for genome sequencing. The total number of Omicron infected in Maharashtra has reached 65. That is, Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron infected patients in the country. Talking about Mumbai, so far a total of 30 people infected with Omicron have been confirmed here. In view of the ever-increasing cases, the Corona Task Force of India and Maharashtra has expressed the possibility of the third wave of corona infection at peak due to Omicron in the month of February. Regarding this, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has also written a letter alerting the state governments and directed them to impose night curfew and work on a war footing. In such a situation, it is being advised to impose restrictions as per the need.
Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron infected in the country
Cases of Omicron have been reported in 14 states of the country. So far, the total number of corona infected patients in the country has reached 220. The highest number of Omicron infected cases have been reported from Maharashtra. On the other hand, talking about Maharashtra, most of the infected have come to the fore in Mumbai. 30 cases of Omicron variant have been confirmed in Mumbai. So far 54 cases have been reported in Maharashtra, 57 in Delhi and 24 in Telangana.
