New petition in Supreme Court in Pegasus case, seeking FIR against those involved in the deal

A new petition has been filed in the Supreme Court in the Pegasus Deal case. In this application, a demand has been made to register an FIR against the people involved in the disputed deal. The petition cited a New York Times (NYT) report that the Indian government had bought Pegasus in 2017 as part of a 2 billion package for weapons, including missile systems.
Advocate ML Sharma, who was the main petitioner in the original Pegasus case in the Supreme Court, has filed a new petition. Sharma urged the SC to take cognizance of the NYT report and directly register an FIR against all those who were involved in the deal with Israel. Along with this, a demand has also been made in the petition to investigate this deal between India and Israel.
Earlier, a bench headed by CJI NV Ramana had constituted a three-member expert inquiry committee in the case related to this deal.
Let us inform that the American newspaper New York Times has published its investigation quoting that the Israeli government had sold Pegasus technology to India. Based on this report, Sharma has demanded that the investigation be initiated by registering an FIR against the concerned officer or authority for the deal.
