Uttarakhand / Dehradun : 117 candidates face to face in election riots in 10 assembly seats of the district

In 10 assembly seats of the district, 24 candidates withdrew their nominations and withdrew from the elections. In this way, now out of 141 candidates, 117 candidates are face to face in the electoral riot. Maximum seven candidates have withdrawn their nomination from Doiwala seat. At the same time, no candidate withdrew from Chakrata seat.

Returning officers were waiting for the candidates since morning in all the seats regarding withdrawal of nominations. However, in some places, there was confusion about the withdrawal of the name. Most of the time the returning officer was seen in the waiting posture on most of the seats. After Doiwala, maximum four candidates withdrew from Sahaspur seat. The number of withdrawals in Raipur and Rajpur Road seats was three. Two candidates each in Dehradun Cantt and Rishikesh and one each in Dharampur, Mussoorie and Vikasnagar withdrew.

• Doiwala seat : Independent candidates Subhash Bhatt, Saurabh Thapliyal, Rahul Panwar, Captain Anand Singh Rana (Retd.), Anusha Maurya (AAP’s dummy candidate), Rajni Rawat and Virendra Singh Rawat.
• Sahaspur seat  : Independent Akil Ahmed, Anish, AAP’s dummy candidate Karsni Diwan and Azad Ramesh Chand.
• Raipur seat : Independent candidates Surat Singh Negi, Jitendra Pant and Abdul Hameed.
• Rajpur Road Seat : Aam Aadmi Party’s dummy candidates Tara Devi, Sanjay Kumar and Vishal
• Rishikesh seat : Former cabinet minister Shoorveer Singh Sajwan and Aam Aadmi Party’s dummy candidate Manmohan Singh Negi.
• Vikasnagar seat : AAP dummy candidate sunita bansal
• Dehradun Cantt Seat : Independent Charanjit Kaushal and Aam Aadmi Party’s dummy candidate Asha Anand.
• Dharampur seat : Aam Aadmi Party’s dummy candidate Seema Rawat.
• Mussoorie seat : Independent candidate Peter Prasad. Now this is the seat wise number of candidates
