Tikait said – farmers should guard, BJP will try to win its candidate by rigging the counting of votes

BKU leader Rakesh Tikait, after visiting the Muzaffarnagar Naveen Mandi area, said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party may use unfair means to win the elections during the counting of votes on March 10. Naveen Mandi is the area where EVMs are being kept after polling. He said that the election is over, but now the BJP will try to make its candidate win by rigging the counting of votes. The BJP government at the Center is preparing to win at least one seat in every district of all the election states by dishonesty.
He said that for this all the farmers would have to guard the counting centers. He claimed that the villagers had clearly told him that the BJP was going to do so. Said that to keep watch, the farmers would have to leave all the work on the 9th and 10th and stick to the counting centers. They reach there from their tractor with a quilt, mattress and ration-water for two days and keep an eye on each and every thing.
He has also alleged that the ruling party can influence the counting of votes by using “unfair” methods in Uttar Pradesh, especially during the counting of votes on March 10. Meanwhile, Additional District Magistrate and Additional Election Officer Narendra Bahadur Singh said that the counting of votes would be done in a fair and peaceful manner under tight security and the directions of the Election Commission. Significantly, in the first phase in Uttar Pradesh, voting was held on February 10 in six assembly seats including Muzaffarnagar, Budhana, Pirkaji, Khatoli, Murapur and Charthwal.
