Uttarakhand / Dehradun: The councilors sat in the municipal corporation for one and a half hours accusing them of protecting the land mafia, the officers did not come

In the case of illegal occupation of municipal lands, the councilors sat in the municipal commissioner’s room for about one and a half hours on Tuesday, but the municipal commissioner did not reach. Angry councilors have threatened to stage a sit-in at the Municipal Commissioner’s office on the morning of Monday, March 14, accusing the corporation officials of giving open protection to the land mafia.

Records made and orders made available in a week

A week ago, some councilors of BJP and Congress met Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Ruhela and informed them about illegal encroachments on municipal lands. During this, the matter of depositing house tax of a land under the Municipal Corporation in Karanpur in the name of a private person was also raised. The Municipal Commissioner had ordered the Land Tax Section to make a record of all the lands of the Municipal Corporation and make it available within a week.

Orders were given to file a case against the accused

Along with this, orders were given to register a case against the accused in the Karanpur land case. A committee was also formed under the chairmanship of Assistant Municipal Commissioner for investigation. On Tuesday, the councilors came to inquire about the records of the lands, but the Municipal Commissioner was not present in the office at that time. The councilors went to his room and sat and waited for about one and a half hours.

Commissioner accused of disappearing from Municipal Corporation

The councilors accused the municipal commissioner of deliberately missing from the municipal corporation and not picking up the phone. However, during this time, Revenue Officer Rajesh Painyuli, Building Tax Superintendent Dharmesh Painyuli and Land Tax Superintendent Vinay Pratap met the councilors and informed them about the action, but the councilors were not satisfied with it. All the councilors, who arrived with Councilor Bhupendra Kathait, said to stage a sit-in at the Commissioner’s office on March 14.

I was in the program being conducted under the cleanliness survey. First GMS Road and then Sri Laxman was with the mayor and corporation officials at Siddha Mandir. On the information of the councilors sitting in the office, the revenue officer of the corporation was sent to listen to them. The information about the action taken by the officials was also given to the councilors. The allegation of missing from office against me is baseless.
