Two SP advocates will be present at the counting centers of 403 assembly seats in UP.

The Samajwadi Party has made preparations for the counting of votes for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. SP’s lawyers will be present at the counting site for legal advice. Two SP advocates will be present at the counting centers of all 403 Vidhan Sabhas in 75 districts. SP State President Naresh Uttam has instructed all district and metropolitan presidents that advocates will be available there for any legal advice during the counting of votes. On the other hand, SP’s National Secretary Rajendra Chaudhary, seeing the letter to the Chief Electoral Officer, had demanded deployment of paramilitary force at the counting places. During the counting of votes in UP, he had expressed apprehension of disturbances in other districts including Rae Bareli.
Students were seen raising slogans in support of Akhilesh
On Monday, Samajwadi Party’s National President Akhilesh Yadav tweeted and took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that there will be no more waiting for a job for five years. There will be revolution to remove BJP in UP. Students going from Allahabad to Purvanchal by taking a pledge to vote against the BJP will no longer wait for jobs for the next five years.
613 candidates are trying their luck in the last phase
In the last phase, elections will be held on 54 seats in 10 districts of Purvanchal including Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Voting will be held in Azamgarh, Mau, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and Bhadohi districts. A total of 613 candidates are in the fray in these districts, whose fate will be decided by 2.06 crore voters. In the last elections, out of these 54 seats, BJP won 29, SP 11, BSP six, Apna Dal (S) four, SubhaSP three and Nishad Party one.
Voting is being held at 23,614 polling stations spread over a total of 12,210 polling stations in nine districts. In the seventh phase, a total of 548 Adarsh polling stations and 81 pink booths have been set up in which all the personnel on duty are women. There are special security arrangements for fair and peaceful polling in the last phase. Adequate number of paramilitary forces are deployed at each polling station. Paramilitary forces have also been entrusted with the security of the strong rooms built to keep electronic voting machines everywhere. Blockades have been put in place along the sub-borders with neighboring states.
