Pandey’s order came in response to an ultimatum given by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray to the Maharashtra government, asking the Maharashtra government to remove the loudspeakers outside mosques by May 3. rings. He had threatened that if this did not happen, he would play Hanuman Chalisa on the loudspeaker. Pandey’s transfer is also being linked to a letter he wrote to the Director General of Police (DGP) of Maharashtra earlier this month, in which he accused the revenue officials of harassing citizens and working in tandem with the state’s land mafia. was accused of doing. However, in the letter, Pandey had demanded that the powers of revenue officers and executive magistrates be transferred to the police. In this regard, the Maharashtra cabinet had expressed dissatisfaction with Pandey’s language. Jayant Naiknavare, Deputy Inspector General of Police (VIP Security), will now be the Nashik Police Commissioner in place of Pandey.
