Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Lakshya and coach father DK Sen warmly welcomed in Haldwani
Lakshya Sen, who was part of the Thomas Cup winning team, and his coach father DK Sen were felicitated at a ceremony held at the DSD Badminton Hall. Lakshya Sen said that it is necessary to have regular practice, guru and discipline to reach any goal. During this, Lakshya addressed the badminton players and gave autographs to the children.
Lakshya said that his coach father has a big hand in taking him to this point. Achieving this goal was not so easy but due to hard work and team’s solidarity, it was achieved. He asked the young players and children to practice a lot. He told in a few words that talking to the players on behalf of the Prime Minister has boosted their morale. He has come by presenting the Bal Mithai of Almora to the PM.
Earlier, international badminton player Thomas Cup winner Lakshya Sen was given a grand welcome in a program organized by District Badminton Association district Nainital. His father, brother Chirag and mother were also present with Lakshya.
A grand cake was also cut on this occasion. Association’s organizing secretary Sanjay Dabral, president Ritesh Bisht, general secretary Narendra Bhutiani, patrons Atul Kumar Sharma, Lalit Gupta and Girish Sharma, besides all the honors and coaches of the badminton academy of Haldwani were present.
Children took photos, took autographs
The children posed for photographs with Lakshya and also took autographs. The children were very excited to find the target among themselves.
