India’s communication satellite successfully launched
India’s new communication satellite GSAT-24 has been successfully launched, this satellite was prepared by ISRO for NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), which was launched with the help of French company Arianespace from Kourou in French Guiana, South America. Gaya – GSAT – 24 is a 24- Ku band communication satellite weighing 4,180 kg or four tons . GSAT-24 was to reach space orbit between 2:30 am to 4:13 am IST on 23rd June, before that at 2:28 pm the launching team stopped the launch for additional checking and no information about the disturbance. It was not given.. Later it was told that due to some discrepancies in the filing of tax, the launch was delayed and the satellite was launched at 3:20 am IST. With the help of this satellite, DTH related requirements will be met, which will provide coverage to all over India, with the help of this, the whole of India will get high quality television, telecommunications and broadcasting service. GSAT-24, launched from French Guiana – this was the first communication satellite mission of NSIL after the reforms in the space sector, which has got the first success. NSIL is a Public Sector Undertaking PSU under the Department of Space, with the help of which India is promoted in the space sector. The GSAT-24 satellite was delivered to orbit space with the help of Ariane-V VA257 flight. It is worth noting that NSIL has leased out its entire satellite capacity to Tata Sky and GSAT-24 is the first dedicated commercial satellite, whereas the responsibility of full funding and maintenance of GSAT-24 on commercial basis will be in the hands of NSIL, GSAT – 24 Made In India Satellite
