Revenue department tops in taking bribe in UP, police at number two

In Uttar Pradesh, in the matter of taking relationships, the revenue department is first and the police is second. Anti-Corruption Bureau figures also say the same. During the five years 2017 to 15 June 2022 by the department, 337 government employees were caught red handed while taking bribe. In which the maximum 132 accused are from the Revenue Department. While 45 accused are policemen. The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested 29 people red-handed while taking bribe during January 15 this year. In which there are 12 accused revenue department and six policemen.

Action taken against those seeking relationships in these departments
Revenue Department, Police Department, Education and Health Department. Municipal Corporation, Electricity Department, Development Authority are the heads. Anti-Corruption Bureau has caught more than Rs 57 lakh given in bribe money during five-and-a-half years.
Preparations to open offices in other ranges including Aligarh
At present, the Anti Corruption Bureau has its range offices in 11 districts including Agra. A proposal has also been sent to the government to open range offices in Aligarh, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Banda, Gonda, Mirzapur, Azamgarh and Basti.

June 29: Revenue Inspector in Maharajganj with a bribe of five thousand rupees
June 28: Revenue inspector in Ayodhya with three thousand rupees
21 June: Revenue department employee with bribe in Shahjahanpur
21 June: Revenue department employee with bribe in Pratapgarh
June 17: With ten thousand rupees to the Revenue Inspector in Basti
June 15: Inspector in Lucknow with five thousand rupees
June 15: Lekhpal in Kannauj with ten thousand rupees
June 14: Revenue Inspector in Chandauli with a bribe of ten thousand rupees
June 10: The employee of the District Industries Center in Agra with a bribe of Rs 11 thousand
June 10: Inspector in Hamirpur with a bribe of ten thousand rupees
June 7: Inspector in Gautam Budh Nagar with 30 thousand rupees
