Neeraj Chopra created history, won silver medal in World Championship, threw 88.13 meters away
Olympic golden boy javelin throw player Neeraj Chopra has created history in the World Athletics Championship. He has given India the first medal in this championship since 2003. Neeraj made 88.13 in the final of the championship held in Eugene, USA. Throwing a javelin thrown at a meter away, he hit the silver medal. Rohit Yadav was out of the medal race in the final, staying at number 10.
Earlier, India had only one medal at the World Championships, which was won by long jump great Anju Bobby George with a bronze medal in 2003. Now after 19 years, the second medal came in India’s account, which is silver.

Anderson won the gold with a throw of 90.54
Anderson Peters made two consecutive throws in the final for more than 90 meters. With this, he won the gold medal in the final with the best throw of 90.54 . Apart from Neeraj in the final, there was another Indian Rohit Yadav, but he could not make it to the top-8 after the first three throws and was out of the medal race.

Neeraj had a match with Anderson
World number-1 javelin thrower Anderson reached the final in the qualifying round by throwing a javelin from a distance of 89.91 meters. He was on top. It is only close to about 90 meters. Whereas second-ranked Neeraj threw the javelin 88.39 meters away in the qualifying round. In such a situation, world number-4 Neeraj had to throw a javelin at a distance of 90 meters to defeat Anderson in this final, which could not happen.
Recently Anderson did a throw of 93.07 meters
Anderson Peters has been in excellent form this year. Neeraj and Anderson competed in the recently held Stockholm Diamond League. Then Anderson took the gold medal by throwing a throw of 90.31 meters. Whereas Neeraj Chopra made a national record by throwing 89.94 meters and had to be content with silver.
