Uttarakhand : Meteorological Department issued heavy rain alert till August 2

According to the Meteorological Center, an orange alert has been issued in many areas of the state for the next three days from today. Heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur over Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Tehri, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in other districts. Due to the possibility of landslides in the hilly areas, it has been advised to remain alert.
After the cloud cover in Doon from Friday morning, it rained heavily in the night. The rain which started at 7.30 pm continued till late night. Due to which most of the areas of Doon were drenched with water. Water entered shops and houses as squares and squares were submerged. Traffic came to a standstill due to debris coming near Galogi on the Mussoorie road. Vehicles remained stranded on the Mussoorie road till late night.
