Maharashtra : Sameer Wankhede was not a Muslim by birth, Nawab Malik got another setback

NCP leader Nawab Malik has got another setback in the case of former NCB zonal officer Sameer Wankhede. The caste inquiry committee’s report has come out on the allegations leveled by Malik regarding the caste of Wankhede. The committee has given a clean chit to Wankheed. The report said that Wankhede was not a Muslim by birth. Not only this, it is also not proved that Wankhede and his father had converted to Islam. However, it has been proved in the investigation that he belongs to the Mahar-37 Scheduled Caste.
In fact, after the Aryan Khan drug case, NCP leader Nawab Malik had leveled many allegations against zonal officer Sameer Wankhede. Malik had said that Wankhede hid his caste to get a job.
Malik had alleged fake caste certificate
NCP leader Nawab Malik was the first to allege that the NCB raid was fake and that the film was an attempt to extort money from the superstar. He also said that Wankhede is a Muslim and he has got a fake caste certificate made to take advantage of reservation in UPSC’s central recruitment exam. The NCP minister had also alleged that Wankhede had fraudulently obtained the license of a bar and restaurant in Navi Mumbai two decades ago.
All our documents valid – Wankhede
At the same time, former NCB regional director Sameer Wankhede said on this that the caste inquiry committee in Maharashtra has rejected the complaints lodged against us. All the factual documents presented by us are valid. Me and my father definitely belong to the Scheduled Caste Mahar community.
