The water level of Ganga and Yamuna has been increasing continuously since last two days. Due to the rise in the water of the rivers, the flood water entered the low-lying areas to a great extent today. With the flood water rising, the district administration has also increased the number of relief camps to 15. Apart from this, 98 flood posts have also been made. In fact, the rain in Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand has become a disaster for the people of Prayagraj.

Rain water is reaching Prayagraj with the help of Ganga and Yamuna. With the rise in water level, there is a possibility of crossing the danger mark of both Ganga and Yamuna. On the other hand, due to the increase in water, the heartbeat of people living in areas like Salori, Shivkuti, Chhota Baghada, Ganganagar, Pitambar Nagar, Baili village, Gaus Nagar, Daraganj, Rasulabad, Jondhawal, Gadha Colony etc. has increased.

Panic people who have already faced the havoc of floods have also started packing their belongings. Sushma, who lives in Journalist Colony, told that water has reached very close to her house. For this reason, on Thursday, she will leave for a safe place with essential items from home.

More than 15 lakh cusecs of water is coming in Prayagraj, more boom in Yamuna
More water is coming from behind in Yamuna in Prayagraj than in Ganga. Many gates of Mata Tila Dam located in Lalitpur have been open for the last several days. Because of this, the Ken and Betwa tributaries of Yamuna are also in spate.

Chambal is also in spate after five lakh cusecs of water was released from Kota in Rajasthan last week and 12 lakh cusecs two days ago. The water of Chambal is also found in Yamuna. The water level of Yamuna crossed the 83 meter mark at Naini at eight o’clock on Wednesday night. On the other hand, the water level of Ganga in Phaphamau had reached 83.08 meters at 8 pm. The danger mark of both the rivers in Prayagraj is 84.734 meters.

Due to the rising flood waters, the administration built 15 relief camps and 98 flood posts
In view of the rising water level of Ganga and Yamuna in Prayagraj, the district administration has increased the number of relief camps from 10 to 15. 98 flood posts have also been asked to be on alert. In fact, the water level of Yamuna was 82.10 meters in Naini on Tuesday night, which increased by one meter in 24 hours.

Similarly, the water level of Ganga in Phaphamau rose by 82.20 meters by 88 cm in 24 hours. On the other hand, in view of the flood, a team of NDRF has arrived under the leadership of Commandant Manoj Sharma. A total of 36 members are in this team including Inspector Brijesh Kumar Tiwari. This team also held a meeting with ADM Finance and Revenue Jagdamba Singh. It is being told that the number of people in relief camps may increase from Thursday.
