After the resignation of Ghulam Nabi Azad, Manish Tewari showed his attitude, said- I am not a tenant of Congress

Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and a stalwart of the Congress, on Friday resigned from the party by writing a five-page letter to Sonia Gandhi. After this political incident, Rajya Sabha MP Manish Tewari has once again advised his party. He has said that if the G-23 had written a letter to the Congress supremo regarding the condition of the party, if attention had been paid to it, today such a situation would not have arisen. At the same time, clarifying his position, he said that I am not a tenant, but a member of this party.
He said, “Two years ago 23 of us leaders wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi and said that the condition of the party is worrying. It deserves to be taken seriously. After that letter the Congress lost all the assembly elections. If Congress and India think alike, then it seems that either of them has started thinking differently.
Talking to news agency ANI, he said, “It seems that there has been a rift in the coordination between the Congress Party and India, which has existed since 1885. Introspection was needed. I think this situation would not have been reached in the meeting held at Sonia Gandhi’s residence on 20 December 2020. He will be in the best position to explain about it.
Manish Tewari said, “A person who does not even have the status to contest a ward election, a person who was once a peon of Congress leaders, laughs when he gives knowledge about the party.” He also said that he does not need a certificate from anyone.
The Congress MP says, “I have given 42 years to this party. I have said this earlier also that we are not tenants of this institution i.e. Congress, we are members of the party. Now if you try to kick us out, that’s another thing. Will be seen then.”
