Hooda, Anand and Chavan met Ghulam Nabi Azad, how G-23 leaders are weakening Congress from inside and outside

The rebel G-23 group of Congress seems to be increasing the problems of the party. Senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad had left the Congress last week, but now this fire seems to be increasing. On Tuesday, senior party leader Anand Sharma, former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Prithviraj Chavan met Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi. All these leaders are part of the G-23, which wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi for reforms in the party. It is believed that since that letter, these leaders are running sidelines in the party. Even though the three leaders said that they are old friends of Ghulam Nabi Azad and the meeting was formal. But there are speculations.

In fact, in Haryana, the Congress has given command to Bhupinder Singh Hooda. His close aide Udaybhan has been made the state president and Kumari Selja, who is said to be his opponent, has been removed from the post. Even after that, Hooda’s stay in Azad’s camp is going to alert the Congress. Apart from this, Shashi Tharoor, who is said to be part of G-23, is also seen in a different tone. He says that elections should be held for the post of party president and the more candidates, the better. The discussion has started from his stand that he too can contest for the post of President. It is clear that the G-23 group is creating trouble both inside and outside the party.

After meeting Ghulam Nabi Azad, a Congress leader said that the party did not change its attitude. Due to this, Azad Saheb had to take a decision to leave the party. Meanwhile, some more G-23 leaders are holding informal meetings and soon some announcement can be made from their side as well. Shashi Tharoor can also come with these leaders, who is discussed that he can contest the election for the party president. It is clear that the troubles of the Congress may increase in the coming days. Not only this, the crisis that Ghulam Nabi Azad has posed in front of the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir, the same challenge can also come in the states like Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
