In view of the heavy rains, schools and Anganwadi centers will remain closed in Dehradun and adjoining areas on Monday, August 5. Orders have been issued in this regard by the District Magistrate, Dehradun. Under which all government and private schools, Anganwadi centers and madrasas will remain closed from class one to 12th.

In view of the heavy rains and the safety of the students, the related educational institutions under Mussoorie, Dehradun city area, Sahastradhara and Maldevta area will remain completely closed on September 5. Trees fell due to strong wind and rain, damage to electric pole-lines

On the other hand, due to heavy rains in Dehradun late on Sunday night with strong winds, life was affected. Trees were uprooted at many places in the city. Due to which power poles and lines were also damaged. There was no light for hours around Vasant Vihar, Seemadwar, Ballupur, Parade Ground, Bahal Chowk, Eucalyptus Chowk.

The damaged power lines could not be repaired till late in the night. Apart from this, there have also been reports of damage to drinking water lines due to landslides in some areas. At the same time, there was water logging on the banks of rivers and streams. Whereas, the disaster control room alerted all the concerned departments late in the night. Residents of settlements located in low-lying areas remained in panic throughout the night. Police personnel should be ready to deal with any disaster

On the other hand, Pauri Deputy Superintendent of Police Prem Lal Tamta has instructed the police officers and jawans to be ready every moment to deal with any emergency. It is said that by keeping good behavior in the society, we can take the help of people in the control of crimes. He also took information about the use of weapons from the police personnel and officers.
