Bibi Lal, who excavated the evidence of Ramjanmabhoomi, died, his study was important in the case

Bibi Lal, full name is Braj Basi Lal. A name that, as an archaeologist, removed the veil from many mysteries. At the same time, he achieved a different position with his research and work. Professor BB Lal passed away on Saturday. It was his work, due to which the matter of Ram temple in Ayodhya was proved and which was also accepted by the High Court. Despite being more than a hundred years old, he was constantly active. Pro. Lal excavated many important historical sites including Hastinapur, Shishupalgarh, Purana Qila, Kalibangan.
Wrote many wonderful books
Born on May 2, 1921, BB Lal did his Masters in Sanskrit from Allahabad University. After this he reached Lakshashila in 1943, where he started training under the then well-known British archaeologist Mortimer Wheeler. During his entire tenure, BB Lal worked on more than 50 books. Apart from this, more than 150 of his research papers have been published in the journals of the country and the world. Some of BB Lal’s notable books include ‘The Saraswati Flows On: The Continuity of Indian Culture’ published in 2002 and ‘Rama, His History, Mandir and Setu: Evidence of Literature, Archeology and Other Sciences’ published in 2008.
Work on mahabharat sites
Between 1950 and 1952, Bibi Lal worked on various sites related to Mahabharata. During this he discovered many painted gray ware sites in the upper Ganges Doab etc. About 20 years later, in 1975, he wrote a research paper. It was titled, ‘In Search of India’s Traditional Past: Light from the Excavations at Hastinapur and Ayodhya’. In this, summarizing his findings, he wrote that the archaeological evidence found here proves that there is a basis for the story of Mahabharata.
