Uttarakhand / Haldwani : In this era of inflation, 25 bighas of land was sold for just one rupee!

You would think that in this era of inflation, how can 25 bighas of land be sold for one rupee. The matter has reached the Special Investigation Cell cell. According to the case, four people in trust gave the registry of 25 bighas of land in the name of a young man by taking one rupee in cash and one and a half crore checks. The check bounced as soon as it was in the bank. The matter is pending under NI Act. The young man has now refused to even pay Rs.
A complaint has been received by the residents of Talli Bamori Mukhani, Chandrashekhar Moulkhi, Dinesh Tiwari, Deepak Tiwari and Sanjay Kumar Negi near the Special Investigation Cell constituted at the DIG level. According to the complainants, 19 bighas of land near Gujrauda Chardham temple is in the name of three persons and six bighas of land is in the name of one. All four people have the same farm number.
In February 2020, he got 25 bighas of land registered in the name of a youth resident of Mukhani by taking one rupee in cash and one and a half crore checks. Then the checks given by the youth bounced from the bank. On April 19, 2022, a case was registered under the NI Act in the case of check bounce on the order of the court. The four people have appealed to the Special Investigation Cell for help. The officers of the Special Investigation Cell are also surprised that how the four got the registry of the land in the name of another by taking one rupee in cash.
Complained about plating
All the four people say that their land has become in the name of another youth for one rupee. The said youth has now started plotting on that land. He is not being arrested after the case has been registered under the NI Act.
Object to filing

What is NI Act
Check bounce case is governed by section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act i.e. NI 1881. In this, first a demand notice is sent to the issuer, followed by a legal notice. If you have received a check that has bounced, you have two options. You can send notice to the person and then if there is no response after 15 days you can send them a legal notice by filing a complaint in the court.
