Shelter should be arranged for destitute cows
Uttarakhand Cow Seva Aayog Chairman Pandit Rajendra Anthwal has expressed concern over the rapid spread of skin disease in cattle in the state. He has told in a letter sent to all the district magistrates that apart from the domesticated cattle, the destitute cows roaming on the roads are also falling prey to this disease.
Destitute cows move in groups, so the possibility of its rapid spread cannot be ruled out. He has asked the district magistrates to make proper arrangements for the treatment of destitute cows as well as to make separate temporary shelters for infected cows.
