Mohammad Zubair and Prateek Sinha run a website called Alt News, which fact-checks the alleged fake news being spread on social media. According to Time magazine, the co-founders of fact check website Altnews, Prateek and Zubair are among the contenders to win the prize based on the nominations, which were made public through Norwegian parliamentarians. The case of Zubair’s arrest was shadowed all over the world, which was opposed by many organizations.

343 candidates in race for peace prize
There are about 343 candidates in the race for the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize, of whom 251 are individuals and 92 are from organizations.
