Vande Bharat Express collided with a herd of animals, halted for 20 minutes
Vande Bharat Express running between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar Rajdhani got damaged on Thursday. The incident took place at 11.15 am when some buffaloes came in front of a train moving between Batwa and Maninagar stations.
The engine of Vande Bharat Express was damaged, which was repaired by the railway personnel. Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident. Vande Bharat Express left for Mumbai Central from Gandhinagar Capital Station on time. Western Railway (WR) zone has further reduced the travel time of Vande Bharat Express train from 5th October.
The train will reach Mumbai Central from Gandhinagar 20 minutes earlier. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off Vande Bharat Express between Gandhinagar Rajdhani and Mumbai Central on 30 September this year.
The Ministry of Railways had informed that the Vande Bharat Express can run up to a maximum speed of 160 kmph and will have a travel experience similar to that of a Shatabdi train, but with better facilities.
Keeping in mind the vision of ‘Make in India’ of PM Modi, Vande Bharat Express has been designed in India. The train is India’s first semi high speed train equipped with world class passenger amenities.
Vande Bharat Express, which runs 6 days a week between Gandhinagar and Mumbai, the capital of Gujarat, now covers a distance of 519 km in about 6 and a half hours.
