WhatsApp’s security will be stronger, without OTP there will be no login in other devices

Soon users in WhatsApp will not be able to log-in to their account on a secondary device without OTP. The instant messaging platform is reportedly testing this feature in the Android beta version. In the new security feature, if a user wants to log-in to his existing primary account on any other device as well, he will have to first verify the account through the OTP sent by the platform to the registered number.

A new security feature has been spotted by WABetaInfo in WhatsApp beta version 2.22.17.22 for Android. This feature acts as an extra layer of security in the user’s account, in which if the user wants to log-in to his WhatsApp account on the primary as well as the secondary device, he will have to enter a six-digit password on the number registered by the platform. OTP will be received. The account will be logged in on the secondary device only through this OTP.

Certainly this feature can save the WhatsApp account from being hacked to a great extent. Many scams today are perpetrated by hackers logging into a victim’s account on their device. But after the introduction of this feature, without OTP, no one will be able to log in to the same account on another device without OTP.

This feature was first seen in June. At that time it was being tested only for a few users.

Let me tell you, at present, to run the same WhatsApp account in any other device, one has to go to the settings of the app on the secondary device and scan the QR code of the primary device through the QR scanner on the Link Device, but after the new feature scanning Apart from this, OTP will also have to be entered, which will be received on the primary device.
