Uttarakhand: State level sports Mahakumbh will start from December 29, players will be ready for 38th National Games

Organization of State Level Sports Mahakumbh will be organized in the state on coming December 29. State level sports Mahakumbh will be organized at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur. 13 teams from 13 districts will participate in this event. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami (CM Dhami in State Level Sports Mahakumbh) will attend the State Level Sports Mahakumbh as the chief guest.

While giving information in the Secretariat, Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that the game Mahakumbh, which started from Nyay Panchayat level, is going to be organized at the state level after passing through the block level and then the district level. About three lakh 75 thousand talented players have participated in this Mahakumbh so far. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that our aim is to prepare our players for the international level along with the upcoming 38th National Games. He said that it is our endeavor to provide better opportunities to our players as well as prepare them for the 38th National Games.

The Sports Minister said that under Khel Mahakumbh 2022, under-14, under-17, under-21 boys and girls, athletics, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, football, handball, basketball, judo will be held at the Nyay Panchayat, development block, district level. Competitions like Taekwondo, Boxing, Karate, Badminton, Table Tennis, Hockey, Yoga and Malkhamb will be organized. Along with this, competitions of pentathlon (race, long jump, high jump, chinup/rope jump, hair throw) will be organized directly at the district level in the age group of 17-21 and athletics and badminton competitions for the disabled will be organized directly at the state level.

Special Chief Secretary Sports Abhinav Kumar told that 662 competitions of athletics, kabaddi, kho-kho and volleyball were organized at the justice panchayat level between October 1, 2022 and October 15, 2022.
