Another Kashmiri Pandit shot dead

In a very recent event in Kashmir, a sarpanch Ajay Pandita(Bharti) was shot dead out of his house in Lokbawan of Anantnag district. Bharti was a sarpanch who got elected in the 2018 Panchayat and was also a congress worker. Ajay and his family were also a victim of  the 1990 Kashmir riots. He had a dream of resettling in Kashmir with all the Kashmiri Pandits who were once thrown out of Kashmir. It is said that he was good to all be it Hindus or Muslims he extended a helping hand to each and everyone. Infact he had developed a very good bonding with all the Muslim neighbours.

Ajays family has demanded a CBI enquiry for this terrible incident that has left in a state of shook. His brother added that he had an idea that Ajay could be harmed and even took that matter to the police but nothing was done to protect Ajay. Ajay along with his parents and other members of the family had migrated to Jammu in along with 3.50 lakh Pandits 1990s when Pakistan-sponsored terrorists selectively killed hundreds of minority Hindus in the Valley.

Dwarka Nath Pandita, Ajays father said that his son got killed by the people who have the ideology that Kashmiri Pandits should not return to the valley. Still one day we shall return and settle in Kashmir and will fulfill my sons  mission.
