Corona cases are increasing rapidly in many states in the country and many states have also identified new hotspots. But now the Kumbh Mela continues in Haridwar which is becoming the new hotspot of Corona. Between April 10 and 14, 1,701 new infections of the corona virus have been found. Earlier, this concern was raised that Kovid’s cases may increase due to the world’s largest religious event, which now seems to be true.
Chief Medical Officer Shambhu Kumar Jha said today i.e. Thursday that this number has been done in 5 days for RT-PCR and rapid antigen test done by the saints and followers of various akharas. It covers the entire fair area from Haridwar to Devprayag. However, it is believed that it may increase further.
Shambhu Kumar Jha said that till the royal bath of Aries Sankranti on April 14, sages and saints conducted RT-PCR test. In the Kumbh region, both corona screening and vaccination in the areas allotted to the akharas are expected to increase further in the coming days.
48.51 lakh people openly flouted the Kovid-19 rules in Haridwar on April 12 on the occasion of Somvati Amavasya and on April 14, two royal baths held on the occasion of Aries Sankranti. During this time no one had applied any mask nor was anyone following social distancing. Because of which now the corona cases are seeing an increase.
